Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding Photography

The day for Jon started at the Black Lion Hotel. I stayed here as well, and its a lovely place, but clearly the Bride got the pick of the places to prepare for her day as she stayed at a stunning house called The Old Rectory Country House just outside of Sudbury. As a photographer, this place was ideal as all the rooms where the Bride and Bridesmaids were getting prepared were spacious with lots of natural light, making my job all the easier. What made my job even easier was that Sarah made a stunning Bride.

With the inevitable light English rain starting, it was time for the ceremony at Smeetham Hall Barn. This venue is in a lovely rural setting allowing the wedding party and guests to have a private celebration. As the ceremony and reception are all in one place everyone can have a well-deserved drink early doors without the need to deal with transport between the ceremony and reception.

Unfortunately, the rain persevered after the ceremony in the barn so the wedding remained an indoor affair. The speeches were great by everyone involved, but the real magic started late into the evening with some epic dance moves by everyone involved from young to old. It’s amazing what a Bon Jovi track or two can do to bring a group of people together!

Congratulations to Sarah & Jon!
